Meet Jeff.

Jeff is a fierce, formidable advocate who gives every client his full attention.  He delivers the best possible representation, prioritizing your circumstances, needs, and budget.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia Law School, Jeff clerked for the Honorable Naomi Reice Buchwald, a federal judge in Manhattan.  He then spent more than 15 years litigating at elite firms in New York and California, representing individuals and companies in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and state and federal courts in a wide range of disputes.

Jeff started his own practice at the request of clients who wanted to hire him directly without paying law firm rates.  He represents individuals and small businesses involved in litigation or considering filing suit, with a particular focus on employment and consumer matters.

Alongside his private practice, Jeff works as an independent consultant, drawing on his extensive litigation experience and his two business continuity certifications to advise universities and publicly traded companies on litigation risk assessment and management.  These institutions hire Jeff to identify inefficient processes and to propose and implement structural fixes that improve case outcomes while dramatically reducing spending on outside counsel.

Jeff’s research and writing skills rival those of the country’s most in-demand attorneys.  While practicing full‑time in Los Angeles, he was a Legal Research & Writing Professor at UCLA School of Law, teaching students to master complex legal issues and distill them into clear, forceful advocacy.

If you’d like to learn more about how Jeff can help you resolve your legal concerns without experiencing sticker shock, please email him at jcberman@jcbermanlaw.com to schedule a free consultation.  Unless he’s busy with another client—or attempting to civilize his headstrong puppy, Julius Caesar—you can expect a near-immediate response.
